  1. Really good info. I once had a Sports Med Doc talking to me about my degenerative disc disease say, “I have three words for you…CORE, CORE, CORE”. I have been through countless PT sessions trying to avoid going under the knife and have been given some pretty funky long routines. Fact is, the more you have to do, the less likely you will do it. This yoga progression is simple, to the point and can be done everyday.

A really important thing the instructor brought up….IF IT HURTS, DON’T DO IT! I have issues from L4 through S1. Whenever I do Child’s Pose” it pinches something when I try to sit back all the way back on my legs. Too much rounding of my spine closes the space between my vertebrae. Things go numb, so don’t do them.

  2. Just did what he said for one month at least 5 times a week. It's working, I am very lucky to find this video.
I tried other videos, which increased my back pain, but this is amazing👌

    Thank you so much.

  3. I'm too far gone at this point. I'm a CNA and I'm in so much pain every day. Every step I take is painful and I have to pay attention to my gait because people keep commenting on my limping.

  4. I tweaked my herniation at L5-S1 two weeks ago, and the pain has been unbearable. Today I decided not to take any pain meds and to try some exercises online. I came across this video, and have done it 3x today. Each time I finish, my pain is virtually gone. I've watched a lot of videos – but this is BY FAR the most effective routine I've tried. Thanks for your work man, you're changing lives 🤝

  5. I was in pain for a yr, getting in and out of the car and squatting down. Finally went to doctor, mri showed L4 L5 disc bulge. I was doing leg stretches but started doing your yoga. Its helping just not sure if a disk bulge is the same as herniation. Doctor put me on gapapentin for nerve pain and steroid shots seemed to not work as well. I am 53 and I feel very hopeful with this new daily yoga routine. Thanks.

  6. Hi sir ,im from india ,,,i have a l2 ,l3 & l5 s1 disc bulge ,,suddenly disc slipped ….my work is hard work but not possible to discontinue the work due to financial condition……im started this exercise today ….my daily routine is possible doing these exercises …..am i continue my work ( lifting , long standing works ) pls help me

  7. I’ve been having major difficulties after my fourth pregnancy and a severely weakened core. All culminated with a herniated disc after a reckless shoulder workout. This session gave me immediate relief and a feeling of calm/peace that my body can in fact heal.

  8. I'm tired of seeing videos with moves involving knees to chest.
PEOPLE TRUST ME AS A MAN OF 15 YEARS OF CHRONIC PAIN WITH A DISC BULGE DO NOT DO EXERCISES AND STRETCHES THAT BRING YOUR KNEES TIGHTLY TO YOUR CHEST AND ROUND YOUR SPINE.

  9. Hey Dean, Love your work and been following you for years.
Can I please ask, Do you have any workouts here that are for someone who has fractured their spine? 9 weeks ago I had an epilepsy seizure in my sleep and woke to find my t9 and T11 back bones/spine had 3 fractures on them.
I'm a huge fan of your styleand have recommended your age to countless people. I just wanted to know if you have any videos to help with the stenghening of my back, esp the T9 and T11 areas.
    Thanks for Australia, Gage

  10. Thank you, I just start these exercises today, felt little bit pain because I just did my second injection. I miss working out I miss my old life in April I couldn’t walk straight. But feeling better after my second injection. I trust you and I will do these exercises daily. Thank you once again

  11. I was trying to work on my computer and the pain was so much to bear I couldn’t sit there anymore. Lied down and pain was still there. Followed through with this and pain went away like 90%. Thank you so much for uploading this. I will continue to do this at least once a day. To those out there also suffering from a herniated disc, we got this!!

  12. Thanks Dean. I'm 64 today! I think it must be 2 years now since I started yoga via your vids; I'm so grateful. My back problems are not solved but the mobility and reduced pain is amazing – all due to 15 – 30 minutes of your various poses etc, usually every other day, sometimes daily. I've been recommending you to others and if I can maintain the discipline of following along anyone can. Your advice is sound. Especially I liked the advice of trying out some yoga exercises before resorting to surgery – that is so important … Thanks and all good wishes to you and your growing family.
