When you practice yoga, it can feel as though it’s an intensely personal experience. And it is. You. Your mat. Your sensations. Yet whether you take classes at a studio or unroll your mat in whatever space you can spare at home, you engage with a tradition that places you among a community.

Experience more of that tradition—and the accompanying community—at the upcoming Sedona Yoga Festival. Yoga Journal will be partnering with the festival and its presenters to bring you conversations centered around our collective and ongoing understanding of yoga on May 2, 3, and 4, 2025.

Through various forums and discussions, you’ll be part of our exploration of various questions related to community and inclusivity, continued education around the teachings of yoga, and how we can continue to align with the legacy of yoga by supporting our own self-awareness and empowering others to do the same.

Namely, we’ll be asking questions and sharing ideas around how to make yoga more accessible to all bodies and communities, how we can support teachers in sharing the less-physical aspects of yoga, and how we can bring the tenets of traditional yoga—including service to others—into our lives.

The thought-provoking forums, each including a Q&A, are designed for students and teachers and will take place amid the annual weekend-long Sedona Yoga Festival. And when you register, you can save by using discount code YJ10.

What You’ll Experience at Sedona Yoga Festival

Launched in 2013, Sedona Yoga Festival has become a destination for anyone interested in expanding their understanding of yoga and self. The festival lineup features dozens of experienced teachers, scholars, and musicians leading workshops, classes, concerts, immersions and trainings on topics as diverse as chanting, Ayurveda, breathwork, trauma-informed teaching, and more.

To be more specific, think of Sedona Yoga Festival as a “consciousness evolution conference,” which has been its tagline in recent years. It’s an opportunity to experience hours of yoga-centric information shared through workshops as well as impromptu conversations throughout the weekend with those in your newfound community.

There is no physical practice of yoga required and all ages are welcome.

So bring your curiosity, your enthusiasm, and your questions. We look forward to seeing you there!
