Each December, the color experts at Pantone announce the single shade they believe will define the following year. The hue for 2025 is “Mocha Mousse,” a luxe neutral that likely already has a place in your yoga (and everyday) rotation. Earlier in the ’20s, selections ranged from blue to purple to peach, making this selection the first nude of the decade—but the pigment is anything but dull.
The brand calls the color a “warming, brown hue infused with richness” and mentions “coffee,” “chocolate,” and “comfort”—associations that are easy to get behind.
The shade is also universally flattering and easy to style, making grabbing a pair of mocha-inspired leggings or a skin-skimming tank an investment destined for wear well past 2025. Still, if you’re going to buy into the trend, you may as well do it at a discount. And the yoga world is already all over 2025’s go-to hue.
5 Yoga Essentials in Pantone’s ‘Mocha Mousse’
From a party-ready workout top to your new favorite onesie.
1. Vuori Cove Funnel Neck Tank for $35 ($58)
For days that deliver you from vinyasa flow to coffee (or, according to the Pantone, “cafe”) catch-up, there’s this tank that’s a nexus between working out and going out. Pair with leggings, trousers, or denim, depending on the occasion.
2. Vuori Rib Ruched Tank for $54 ($68)
Ribbed and ruched? Yes, please. This form-fitting tank is an ideal choice for those who favor extra texture and an unexpected show of skin.
3. Alo Airbrush Physique Onesie $102 ($128)
Assembling a standout yoga ensemble is as simple as slipping into this one-piece. “Cinnamon Brown” is a close match for “Mocha Mousse,” and the singular silhouette provides comfort and the smoothing of shapewear—especially if you size down.
4. Lululemon Align Tank Top for $49 ($68)
The YJ editors are dedicated Lulu fans—particularly when it comes to the brand’s super-soft Nulu fabric. This tank is lightweight, supportive, and available in a “Java” shade reminiscent of Pantone’s 2025 selection.
5. Quince Ultra-Form High-Rise Legging for $40 ($89)
Quince’s subtly compressive “Chocolate” leggings can be worn to yoga class or throughout a comfort-forward day. Plus, the brand’s cost-cutting commitment makes these luxe leggings affordable.
