Surya Namaskara, also called ‘Sun Salutation,’ is a very ancient technique of paying respect to the sun that is the source of all forms of life on the planet. The solar plexus (located behind the navel, which is the central point of the human body), is said to be connected to the sun. Regular practice of this technique enhances the solar plexus, which increases one’s creativity and intuitive abilities. There are 12 poses that are performed to finish one round.

  2. i am surprised to see that this video shows the knee not in a 90 degree position used as the thumbnail when that can supposedly cause knee injury. Shilpa is so perfect with her asanas which is more of a reason I was confused. Am I missing something?

    Chanting associated mantras of Surya at each step and focusing on associated chakras adds another spiritual dimension to this practice

    For instance for Pranamasana , mantra is Om Mitraya Namaha and chakra is Anahata Chakra

  4. I have been doing Yoga from 7 yrs of my age ,now 34. The fifth position is " Parvat Asana" as per Patanjali Yog Sutra ,also the posture is not right . I don't know as an influencer how come you make it wrong !

  6. One step is wrong . That is cobra pose .its not a complete cobra pose. We need to bend the hands. And Other 2 steps also wrong. Thumbnail pic position and before adho mukka asana we need to do cow pose( bitilasana) .
