  1. Thank you SaraBeth!
I actually started doing these because I set a goal of daily morning meditation/yoga/exercise, and a few days I'd run out of time for the yoga, so I decided to do it before bed just so I could technically keep my goal. What I've found is I absolutely love having this super intentional break from the day to physically and mentally prepare for going to sleep. Sometimes it can be tricky to stop putzing around and doing one last thing and before I know it it's so late. This really helps make the transition deliberate, and so far has been sending me to sleep quickly – like sending a message through the whole nervous system letting my body know: the day is done; the only thing left to do is lay down, and let go.
Why have I never done pre-bed yoga before!

  2. This will sound very st*pid… But i don't know how to breathe. I have developed an OCD (no full on but for a year, as I have GAD anxiety), and I found myself the days I'm hormonal (ovulation and PMS) controling my breathing because i feel like the air doesn't get where it should, so I'm VERY aware of my breathing and i hyperventilate and feel like my heart is going out of ny chets, and numb arms and legs and dizziness. I tried more medication but it didn't do much.
I know yoga helps with anxiety and that's why I'm here (and if someone has the same please comment and help me because I'm at the point where I'm constantly terrified I'll get a heart failure or faint, and start crying even tho I'm properly medicated), so I'd like to know if a normal breathing is ok while doing these excercises? Is the best i can do breathing in from my nose and out my mouth slowly good enough for this?

I'm sorry if i sound crazy… But i know breathing is important in yoga and i don't know ANYTHING about yoga, so that's why I'm asking anyone who knows more.

Thank you in advance and I'll start tonight with the excercises.

    Thank you!

  3. Goodness, this was so helpful after a terrible day. I'll be using it faithfully. The best part was Shavasana, just letting it all go. I fell asleep quickly afterward and slept so soundly. Thank you, SaraBeth!
