Then secondarily through a series of yoga asanas and exercises, the idea of this yoga class is not just to cure the pain but also build strength, mobility, and flexibility to help support and maintain a pain free life.

This Boho Beautiful yoga for back pain relief consists of postures and movements that are part of Mark Spicoluk’s personal recovery practice that he used to heal his sciatica pain and disk herniation.

Remember, if you are healing and recovering from an injury please listen to your body and skip or modify any exercises or postures that do not feel right for you. And MAKE SURE to ask for guidance from your therapist or doctor before beginning any new exercise while healing an injury.

  2. These sessions are having a fantastic impact on my back and body. Thank you! Also I really appreciate following a male instructor who doesn’t get caught up in channeling excessive masculinity. It’s so much more important to lean into spirit and self love than trying to prove something.

  3. I loved this set. Thank you. The only thing I would point out is that you say "side to side", whereas you mean left and right. As well, you mixed up the arms a couple times, saying right as opposed to left, and vice versa. 🙂

  5. Hi Mark, I’ve learned a few weeks ago that I’ve got a hernia. Before due to a car accident while pregnant I broke my back and had a double hernia so I had ( after given birth) a spondylodese and a double hernia operation 4:14 together. Doc said the new hernia is because of the operation after years but I had never experienced such nerv pain in my butt an leg before! Now I had a nerv blockage and the nerve pain is gone and I can handle the pain. Doc also said that that I should make my core real strong to keep my hernia in check. I was always a huge fan of Juliana, it really transformed my body. So do think doing both of you’re work outs is ok to do with a back hernia? I miss my Pilates so much! And after doing your workout today I felt a little happier and lighter. Maybe it’s placebo but i don’t care it felt really good. ❤
