The psoas is a deep core muscle, also one of the hip flexors that controls the curvature of the lower spine. If you’ve ever experienced psoas pain, you know it can get very tight! This psoas yoga sequence will leave you feeling more relaxed, mobile, and energised. Well done!

  1. I am so suprised by how much this helps! I trained legs 2 days ago so was expecting to find this pretty hard (as I did the first time) however I actually found for some of the variations I was able to do the second one this time 🥰

  2. I love your practices so much! I did the 10 minute one of these yesterday and thought okay I can graduate to the longer one. I am very thankful you offer variations because despite being quite fit my Psoas is very weak and inflexible so I was grateful to be able to do this practice while not pushing myself to injury 💜 Thank you for offering a safe space

  3. i usually struggle with yoga for psoas pain cause it feels like it does nothing. this eased it thanks. i struggled a ton as a person with 0 balance but i’ll definitely come back to this video. thanks joelle

  4. As usual Joelle, you have the best routines for functional and therapeutic poses. This was a great blend of stretching and strengthening, and really targeted the psoas in obvious ways. Well done. Thank you!!

  5. I am very lucky to have recently discovered your video today. I have never understood why I have a lot of hip pain while sleeping, as well as everyday stiffness. I have long suspected that I have really weak PSOAS, but have never understood the exercises that I had come across. It was really frustrating because they usually ended up hurting my back, so it kept me from doing them. I actually have done your video (Yoga for PSOAS) twice today (morning and before bed). The best part was that it did NOT hurt my lower back at all!

I have been doing your other videos for sciatica and Pimiformis this week, too, and I have had less hip pain and stiffness. However, I couldn't help but notice how shaky my balance was doing the exercises in this video on one knee other stretched out (in PSOAS video and during the other videos. Can you recommend specific videos of yours to help to improve my balance? Thank you SO much!
