  1. dude ive struggled with lower back pain for a couple years now, my back always locks up due to the lower part being a trigger point, the last stretch with the strap has honestly been amazing for me, ive never found a stretch that reaches that area above the hip and lower back, ive done that move before without a strap and its never worked but the strap allows me to pull the muscle accross my back and already it feels amazing within a couple days!! thanks so much, from a purple belt jiu-jitsu guy!! appreciated

  2. Hi,

I have subscribed in this channel for quite a long time because I'm a yoga believer but I never watched a single video. I just subscribed because I knew that I would need this in the future.

Until I had this severe lower back pain last night before going to bed. I had a really bad sleep coz of it. When I woke up today, I can't get up from bed. It was extremely painful when I tried to get up slowly by turning my body from side to side but I just can't. I called a help from my son to help me get up slowly but it took me 15mins to slowly managed to get up on both of my feet.

However, when I tried to walk, right after my first step, I felt the extreme pain again. I was shouting to my son. I went back to stay in bed trying to stretch my lower back hoping the pain eases a bit. Then I went on to search yoga for lower back pain in YouTube and it was your video who appeared first that's why I was able to watch it. I followed your 3 exercises and it was really effective. The pain wasn't really gone yet but it was really helpful to ease the pain by 59% and I can be able to walk slowly doing some house chores.

Thank you so much. I just want you to know that I'm one of your subscribers and helped me from my back pain problem.

Looking forward to watch your old videos.

  3. Did this after a year free of sciatica pain. Thought this would be a nice preventative yoga on my rest day to keep my back healthy. Instead, it triggered my sciatica. Here I am a week later still unable to do my normal calisthenics workouts. Thanks a lot!

  4. All due respect to my favorite yoga instructor, forward folds will make sciatica worse if it's due to a herniated disc. The best thing you can do is various glute stretches followed by some light spinal twists.

  5. I do yoga for my saitica twice a day now. The morning is my 10 min “freestyle” that I do to goo-morning affirmations. The night one is where I spend more time winding down and learning with a teacher hear on YouTube. Glad to have found you tonight! ❤

  6. This made me feel seen. I LOVe being active and I also had a build up injury of saitica at 25 too. Crazy, I’m here doing yoga and learning balancing, peace, and compassion w my body .
These stretch are great, I changed up the cross fold one so it hits the pat of my back I need it to by bending and then breath into it. ❤❤

  7. I just discovered your videos as a “desperate” solution to fix pain in the SI-joint/piriformis/sciatica… and I felt so relaxed after doing this (and some others), but as you said it’s not a quick fix…. But instant relief for some minutes was so great… and I will continue to join with patience 🙏

  8. I've done lots of yoga flows for my back over the years and did this with a "whatever" approach… Gotta say he's not wrong, I used to always have niggling lower back pain but this Yin flow has sorted my back pain, just doing if for a few days in a row I noticed a BIG difference. Thanks dude

  9. Hi Bre and Flo, thank your for this video. I was wondering if these 3 stretching exercises are also helpful if your Quadratus Lumborum and Piriformis are painful/stiff?
Love to hear your answers! ☺️
    Greetings Kyra

  10. I was skeptical about these stretches until I coupled them with core workouts. I did leg holds, flutter kicks, and planks to start out with the pain. No core exercises that required bending of the spine.

I have tried many other exercises and these helped me a lot if not the most.

I am at 2 years with sciatic pain in both legs and 2 herniated disc and I can actually workout regularly at the gym with manageable pain now.

Grass isn’t going to grow if you don’t water it – don’t give up.

    Thank you to the creator!

  11. @BreatheAndFlow Thank you for this video! I experience sciatica on my right side. When I do the second exercise – cross leg forward bend, the pain is very intense with my right leg out. Even the slightest tilt forward agitates the nerve. Do you have a recommended regression for this? Many thanks
