  1. Returned to this video to say that what she says is true. I definitely was sleeping without making sure my hip was high enough for my ankle to also be the pillow and it made all the difference. No hip pain! Thank you!

  2. I'm super thankful this was in my recommended feed – 25 weeks 4 days and she is getting heavy I normally am a back/stomach sleeper and I move a LOT in my sleep, so switching to all one position at night has been very painful. My wonderful husband will stuff pillows behind me or sleep with his back to me so I don't roll over flat on my back, which keeps happening in the night and then I wake up with lots of back pain! I hadn't realized that I needed to make sure my ankles were supported! Definitely going to try this tonight!

  3. I couldn’t sleep on my side with my first. It caused me excruciating pain after just a couple hours. I looked it up and apparently if you sleep at a 45 degree angle it relives the pressure so you don’t have to worry about the blood flow. I pretty much slept upright for the last few weeks of my first and am getting to that point with my second.

  4. The problem is that the left side for me encourages acid reflux and esophageal spasms because of the shape of my upper G.I tract. Its totally the wrong shape……and I have scitaic in both legs + back pain which makes an idealistic nights sleep impossible. I have the same nightmare about supressing the blood flow and causing harm every night but realistically cannot sleep on my left because of my esophagus and stomach, even with raised pillows. ☹️ Its very stressful.

  5. I got 2 wedges one that goes on the left, the other on the right and I sleep in between them. They are the best thing I’ve bought, no pain and comfortable sleep and I’m 38 weeks now! I don’t think the U shape pillows provide the support required

  6. pregnant and i have mild costochondritis that flares up when i sleep on my sides so this has been quite a challenge for me, i have to twist my shoulders back to not flare up as much 🙁

  7. I'm 37 weeks and I cannot continue to sleep on the left side. It is putting too much pressure on my hip night after night. Is there anyone else going through this? Is there something wrong with my body that I can no longer handle putting pressure on my left hip with or without the pregnancy pillows or wedges? Or is my bed the problem? Nearly 6 months straight of sleeping on the same side and pressing down on the same hip is not feeling good any more.

  8. I hated sleeping on my back pre pregnancy. Now it’s the most comfortable position for me. I know they say it’s not safe however my midwife said it’s okay for me to sleep on my back. I’m so conflicted. Going on 33 weeks today.

  9. this I am definitely going to try. i’m about 34 weeks now and my hips are killing me i also have sciatic nerve pain so my hips are killing me. sometimes im not even comfortable on my bed i sleep on my couch 😩 this just lets me know i need more pillows 😩 im always on my left side when im on my bed though that’s the only side with my pregnancy pillow that i actually feel comfortable 😩😮‍💨

  10. This is great, but I am hotter than the sun at night (for the first time in my life, ever) and these extra pillows create a burning inferno that I just can't sleep in. So far, I've been using a small blow-up donut pillow to separate my knees. This is great as it keeps me cool too. Might have to buy another for my ankle!

  11. Thanks so much for this. I was doubting about getting one of those U shaped pillows and bought a half moon one like in this video instead. And it is so uncomfortable, exactly because of the ankle. I may just get the U shaped one after all as it also solves having a pillow behind my back.

  12. Im 20weeks at moment and i been having hips ( side of hip) pain from laying on my sides. I use pregnancy pillow but it didnt help me much. i get belly pain as i turn from side to side. I have to hold my belly when i turn. Is there anything can help with the belly pain/discomfort and the hip (both sides) pain ?

  13. I just had to comment because it's so sweet… My 20yr old son is visiting and had borrowed my phone and was on my YouTube(so he doesn't have to watch ads) anyway, he gave it back just now on this video. His girlfriend is 9 weeks pregnant so he is watching to educate himself😊 I am such a proud mama that I raised a son that cares so much to know what is going on and what he can do and what's normal and not. Thank God I didn't raise a man with no compassion. This gives me hope for my grandchild at having the best chance of being able to navigate life for the future in this nasty nasty 🌎 world!

  14. I sleep more on my left side, but I keep switching back and forth between my left and right. Sometimes if I am more awake, I’d get to my back and stretch my legs more. My doula told me I can sleep on my belly too if I have a doghnut shaped pillow and it actually helps with the positioning of the baby for birth. Is that true?
