– This is a workout specifically designed to address anxiety and depression. Yoga can be incredibly helpful for this when it focuses on the following: (1) postures that relax that body, (2) slow, controlled breathing to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, and (3) promote body awareness. This routine does all of that and more, featuring the best yoga postures and stretches for relieving stress, promoting relaxation, and getting to the root causes of anxiety and depression. As you move through these postures, be sure to focus on your breathing and body awareness – that is where yoga can be most helpful in terms of anxiety & depression! Use this routine as often as you’d like (daily is fine!) –

  1. Wonderful routine and calms a lot, I’ve done it some 10 times already and plan to do more. The only thing is the abrupt increase in volume between the last posture and the outro (or, rather between a complete silence and tranquility, and a very invigorating "alright, if you enjoyed this…") that always catches me off-guard . Unless I prepare through the last 2 postures, which is not the best way to relax.
If this one thing could be fixed, it would make this routine perfect.

  2. Thanks so much Dean – I will use this for my clients and loved the routine myself – Greeting from Mumbai, India – so happy to have found you – one of your routines just popped up and I subscribed and am so lucky to have discovered you and your wonderful work. Have you been to India? Would be a pleasure to invite you to do yoga at my place in the hills.
