Earth Month should be every month. But since April holds the official designation, this month tends to come with extra conversations around the environment and sustainability.
Directing your dollar toward yoga companies that prioritize eco initiatives is a win/win—especially when those brands are holding sales.
5 Sustainable Yoga Sales You Can Feel Good About Shopping
From eco-minded mats to leggings made from recycled fabrics, these brands are taking steps to lessen their environmental footprint.
1. Liforme
For Liforme, Earth Month represents the opportunity to plant three trees for every order and discount most mats up to 30 percent (including a 15 percent drop on the price of the classic Liforme that brings it down to $119). There’s also some compounding opportunities: the purchase of two mats gets you an extra 15 percent off, and three or more comes with an additional 20 percent.
In terms of composition, Liforme mats rely on natural rubber and eco-polyeurathane with a 4.2mm thickness that’s somewhat thinner than many many thats, which saves slightly on materials. Also, their mats are always packaged in cardboard—never plastic.
2. Athleta
Athleta‘s Warehouse Sale features women’s and girl’s clothing, accessories, and more at up to 70 percent off. Though the sale isn’t linked to Earth Month, Athleta is a B Corp thats strives to honor the planet year-round.
In terms of planet-friendly production, expect largely recycled polyester with factory operations (or at least electricity) powered by solar energy. And for fans of circular fashion, Athleta’s partnership with ThredUp makes purchasing (or trading) pre-owned items a possibility.
3. Girlfriend Collective
Girlfriend Collective is helping to set a sustainability standard in the yoga world. The bulk of the brand’s clothes are crafted from recycled polyester; its ReGirlfriend program recycles clothing to make new pieces; and Girlfriend to Girlfriend offers a platform for customers to shop and sell pre-loved items. Plus, all products are PFA-free and you can always expect plastic-free packaging.
The brand’s sale section is fairly extensive, with mat-ready staples available at 40 percent off.
4. Manduka
You can’t talk about the best yoga mats without mentioning Manduka. If you want to save a bit of money while salvaging a mat from the landfill, the brand’s Almost Perfect program features discounted mats made with a few tiny flaws, but, as the brand states, “the will to live.” And, as always, made from eco-conscious materials.

5. Threads 4 Thought
Basics brand Threads 4 Thought is currently having an Earth Week Flash Sale, offering 30 percent off everything on the site with the exception of new arrivals. The themed discount is in keeping with the brand’s overall ethos: its main factory recycles wastewater during production; packaging is biodegradable and water soluble; and materials are either natural or recycled.
