This quick 10 minute restorative yoga class will help to open up the chest through one of my favorite heart opening restorative yoga poses utilizing 3 yoga blocks and 1 bolster. if you don’t have a bolster you can use a tightly rolled comforter and if you don’t have blocks you can simply stack books or use a large couch cushion under the head and arms making sure that both the comforter and couch cushion are level.

  1. Thank you so much for all your wonderful videos. Would you mind sharing where one could find the bolster that you are using. It looks like just the right level of firmness. I purchased one which ended up being much too squishy for me.

  3. Bird, your countless practices have been a pillar of my health this year. The first quarter of 2023 has been really hard on me due to some pretty serious anxiety and some light depression sprinkled in for good measure. But I have some practices in place, little habits, that have at times been the backbone of my ability to make it through a day. Your videos have been a massive part of that and I want to thank you for giving us a space to just be, to feel ourselves and our bodies. I'm finally at a point where I can see my condition improving again, little by little. It feels all the more gratifying to do these practices with you now that I'm slowly regaining the joy in my life. I'm sure I'll keep them in my routine for a long time to come.
